As many of you already know, we recently released our debut album, Blades of Steel. From the very beginning, our commitment has always been to quality, excellence, and delivering honest, powerful, and true material that honors the roots of traditional heavy metal.

The album was received with enthusiasm by those who live and breathe metal, and that filled us with pride and even more drive to keep going! But now it's time to take the next step — and we want you to come with us on this new journey.

After the release, at the beginning of 2025, we began the writing process for our second album. The idea is to create a record where the quality of the vocals, the instruments, and most importantly, the production, is taken to a whole new level.

We want to go beyond what we did on our first album — and that’s why we’re aiming for an international mix, to bring even more weight, clarity, and impact to our sound. Our goal is to create something even more epic, that truly represents who we are as a band.

And that’s why we want you by our side

The creative process is already in full swing! The songs are being written by me, Yara Haag, together with Rafael Romanelli, Jonas Soares, Filipe Tonini, and Bruno Carbonato — musicians who are already well-known and respected in the Brazilian heavy metal scene, and who now form the official Blades of Steel lineup.

Every idea, every riff, every verse is being crafted from the heart, and we want to share this moment with those who believe in independent, original music made in Brazil.

Why a crowdfunding campaign?

Crowdfunding is the path we found to make this dream a reality. Producing an album requires serious investment, and as an independent band, we chose this route so we can move forward with total artistic freedom — focusing on what really matters: the music.

This project is for those who believe in the power of metal and want to take an active part in building something real. With your help, we will produce, record, release, and promote this album the way it truly deserves.

DEFENDERS OF STEEL — What does this name mean?

Defenders of Steel is more than just a title. It’s a statement.

Steel represents our music: strong, sharp, and unbreakable. But what truly brings this steel to life is you — our fans, friends, allies, and battle brothers. Everyone who shares a song, shows up to a gig, wears the shirt, and screams with us from the front rows.

You are the true Defenders of Steel.

Who is Blades of Steel

Blades of Steel is a traditional Brazilian heavy metal band, formed with the mission of honoring and revitalizing the roots of the genre. Our sound is built on powerful riffs, soaring vocals, and lyrics that celebrate courage, resilience, and freedom.

Our influences come straight from the old guard: Judas Priest, Manowar, Running Wild, Accept, Saxon, among others. But what we create has our own identity — it’s classic, but it’s ours.
